History of Dwarkadhish Temple

Constructed in 1814 by Seth Gokul Das Parikh, the then-treasurer of the Gwalior State, this temple is one of the most visited in Mathura. It is dedicated to Dwarkadhish, the 'King of Dwarka' (Lord Krishna). The temple is famous for its intricate paintings and the spectacular celebrations of Hindola and Janmashtami, reflecting the architectural transition of the 19th century.
